Job Summary
PATH would like to hire a Data Collectors who will be collect qualitative data using data collection tools, transcribe the data, submitted the data and related document per the agreed timelines.
Scope of work
Under the ECD program Sr. team Lead’s guidance and the consultant the data collectors will collect qualitative data using data collection tools, transcribe the data, submitted the data and related document per the agreed timelines.
The following are General and Specific activities to be managed by the Data Collectors during his/her contractual employment period:
General Objective:
To assess integrated ECD interventions in health facilities that are implementing the ECD initiative in health sector in Addis Ababa and at national level.
Specific Objectives:
To assess value addition and feasibility of the ECD integration into routine primary health services, and associated enablers and barriers for such integration.To assess if the tools used to deliver integrated ECD interventions are used as intended and what needs to be improved.To assess effectiveness of the integrated ECD interventions in providing the developmental monitoring, counseling, and promoting play and responsive care for child development.To assess national level efforts made to create enabling policy and program environment for the integrated ECD interventions.
Method of Work:
The assessment might employ a qualitative study design involving key informant interviews, client exit interviews, observations of service delivery, and data review. The assessment will be conducted between Nov-Dec 2022 in health facilities that started implementation of the iECD and with key informants at the administrative levels in Addis Ababa Health Bureau, MOH and other stakeholders.
PATH seeks to recruit a consultant to conduct a rapid Assessment of integrated ECD initiative in the health facilities in Addis Ababa and at national level, Ethiopia.
Accountability:
The Data Collectors will execute all the duties and responsibilities indicated above:
Under the direct supervision and guidance of the Consultant.In collaboration with Addis Ababa Health Bauru.In Collaboration with ECD Sr. team leader and other key technical partners.
DELIVERABLES
The data collector will submit the collected raw data, transcribed data and related document per the agreed timeline and work plan.
Number of positions: 6 (six)
Duration: Maximum of 15 days in a month of November/December
Job Requirements:
Required Skills/ Competencies / Experience
He/she should have:
BSc and above in public health, nursing, or related fieldAt least 2 years work Experience in the health facility on maternal and child health services setting (ANC, Delivery and PNC service delivery)Community and facility-based health research data collection experiencesExperience in maternal newborn and child health, and nutrition, program.Experience in conducting in-depth interview and focus group discussion.Good understanding of the Ethiopian health sector, primary health care and health extension programAble to understand the tools developed for data collectionHave Experience in qualitative data collectionGood communication and teamwork experience
Language:
Very Good writing and speaking skills in AmharicWorking knowledge of oral and written English
Additional Requirements:
The individual consultant is required to provide a copy of the Professional TIN Certificate and renewed business license while submitting the proposal otherwise he/she will be subjected to a 30% Withholding tax deduction.Those who have a Professional License certificate are also expected to produce receipts at the time of payment.How To Apply:
